Hello. My name is Alice.
I’ve been making a documentary in Brazil. It’s about Delecado, a master of capoeira dance, who is deeply involved in social projects in the poor areas of Sao Paulo. He built a school of capoeira, brick by brick, in front of a fovela. I have filmed him during a new project to build a football pitch on top of the school.
I’ve had a brilliant opportunity, through contact with Delecado, to gain access to the poorest areas of Sao Paulo while he battles against politicians to find funding. There are interviews and fottage that sho just how life is, day to day, for the poor of Sao Paulo. I’m not a film maker, and I haven’t got the best of equipment, so it’s rough and ready. But I was so captured by the story that I had to do it. The project is still going on.
I’ve seen lots of documentaries about the poor of Brazil. The difference with this one is that it shows hope. I think it could be of interest to you.

I’m going to say it…I thought it would be easier then this…and boy am I glad it wasn’t, cause I have learned so much…with that being said, I am still in need of help. Our indepedent feature film that explores infidelity in todays society is currently on hiatis. We are in need of finishing funds, or a lot of pro-bono help.
I thought I’d try to leave you a little about our film and see where it goes. Our film has completed most, if not all of our expert interviews and edited by Nick Perry. We are out of funds (so far 130K our of our personnal pocket) and need to finish this film. It is a story that needs to be told and we are so close. We are looking for survivors of infidelity and those who have had or are having affairs to tell thier stories. Our methods need a little investment to branh out farther. Feel free to offer any advice. Thank you for being a resource of information.

I am making a film about the former “lost boys” of Sudan Returning home to the South after the signing of the peace agreement in 2005. I have already shot the successes of a water project and I am hoping to be able to film a few more, specifically a school and clinic site. It is a film about reunion and about the Sudanese people in the Diaspora giving back to their homeland. I am looking for funding for travel back to Sudan for a skilled cinematographer for the rest of the film along with some new equipment for the harsh terrain.
Hey Majok, where are you from and are you working on a project? Sounds like you are from South Sudan. Please email if you are interested in this project.
If anyone has an interest, please email me!

Hi i am an independent film maker in Sierra Leone West Africa. I want to do two documentaries on post-war Sierra Leone. One will focus on children who are involve in the mines, the child labour they are engaged in, and what’s keeping them from going to school, why they prefer the mines than education. The second is about the woman who conducted our recent elections. Am planing on calling it THE WOMAN WHO MADE IT HAPPEN. I want to look at the challenges she faces, how she overcome them and what were the lesson she learnt during the whole electoral process. The one on the child miners will be called THE TRUTH BEHIND THE STONE.

My name is Jokom Riak orginally from Sudan I would like to produce the film call “God is watching” which is about the Lost Boys of Sudan Testimony about what they have face during the Sudan’s 22 civil war which, is the most African longest civil war. The war begins in 1983 which let the children felt their way in 1987 to Ethiopia when they were separated with families. Their suffering had something to do with cool war between America and Soviet Union. The boys were seeking rescue in Ethiopia which was one center for the political fight over Africa beside Angola, Morocco and Mozambique. They traveled thousand of miles walking on their feet when they ran from Sudan to Ethiopia during late 1987, also from Ethiopia in 1991 when Ethiopia government under communism fail and the transitional government took over that year. It took year and half for the boys to travel another journey from Ethiopia back to Sudan and finally make their way to Kenya in 1992 when Sudan government declared Jihad (Islamic soldier form to fought holy war) the boys and again stayed in Kenya for another nine years under inhuman conditions and finally were grant a resettlement in the united state in 2001 which make another sequence of story on their life. The producer of film is also the victims of the war while awaiting a child soldier service in Ethiopia.

I am Director and Producer of the documentary, Children of Fire, the Movie. Children of Fire is the inspiring story of a group of South African youngsters — disfigured and orphaned by fire and stripped of their human dignity by an indifferent society — who nevertheless persevere in the face of seemingly impossible odds. With the help of a small, dedicated band of volunteers, these courageous Children of Fire discover hope instead of fear, learn to embrace love rather than resignation, and use compassion to battle ignorance.
All principal photography, except interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu is complete. We are in search of finishing funds and would appreciate any private equity investors or sponsorship to help finish our project. I invite you to visit our site for more information. Thank you in Advance.

I am a filmmaker who intends to explore the migration issue in Central America. The film will begin by speaking with workers at the Municipal Dump in Leon, Nicaragua. Mostly rural immigrants, some 400 men, women and children eke out a living by “harvesting” plastics and metals from the constantly smoldering dump. The film will explore their living conditions, lack of employment options, and working conditions. I will follow these workers beginnings by exploring the rural villages from which they have originated in an attempt to give voice to the current crisis in small-scale agriculture and the resulting internal and international migration of Nicaraguans.
I have previously spoken with the workers of the dump, who have the conviviality and openness of most Nicaraguans; all were quite frank and unabashed in explaining their situation. The head of the University of Leon’s department of social work has promised to help with the project, as has Executive Director of The Working and Unemployed Women’s Movement. I am looking for a very small grant to cover operational expenses.

We are a couple of anthropologists with 4 young children aged from 2 to 9. We have an established record of publication, including some documentaries, and a strong teaching experience. We are now carrying out a multi-sited project on globalization and migration. The title of our project is “Reason of Culture / Reason of Law: Asymmetrical Talk in South Asian Diaspora.” This project overcomes the perspective of migration and diaspora as potential danger for exploring its potential benefits. It is central to the project the realization of a documentary where individual, subjective life-experiences are openly disclosed and filmed through a collaborative, non invasive filming approach.
We are looking for sponsors or informations about how to obtain funds.
Many thanks for advices and comments.

Hi all..
I am a filmmaker ready to move forward on the production of a documentary about the growing phenomena of family “Estrangement”. The story is the phenomenon of estrangement, particularly when it occurs absent any abuse/substance issues. Adult children who make the decision to cast their parents aside for no apparent reason – just because they can – and the lack of public outrage addressing this widespread problem.
I have done all the research, and I have many people ready and willing to participate. I have a group of the “go to” experts on this topic that are very excited about the project.
I am looking for sponsorship, funding, etc..
Many thanks for any help!

Dear sir,
I understand you have the expertise to produce social documentaries. I wish to inquire whether you can be interested to sponsor a TV documentary project, THE CAT EATERS OF CAMEROON. This is about the Cat eating habit of the indigenous people found in the north western region of Cameroon-Central Africa.
I am also a Cameroonian but an amateur freelance camaraman. These act of Cat eating involves a lot of ceremonial activities before and after meal, including traditional dances and displays. They do alot of explanations and defenses about the medicinal value of cats.
According to my understanding, Cats are one of the most pet domestic animals in the
world. I very much believe, majority of citizens of the world will be shock to watch how other humans prepare MAN’s most friendly animal for meal.
Already arranged with the local population, I am certain that if we produce a reality documentary about this abnormal behavior, it will be highly demanded in the ineternational television market. To attend this level, an expert camaraman and a comentator with western English accent are required. That is why I am seeking your partnership.
If you can be in the position to contribute in realising the proposed project, then It will excite considerable discussion. I will send more details and answers your questions.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

To whom it may concern.
I have completed a documentary about repeatedly incarcerating juveniles at very young ages for non-violent crimes. In this doc it shows that once these kids turn 18 years of age they go on to commit violent crimes. In my film I concentrate on about 8 kids in particular. Some I have footage of from as early as 13 and 14 years of age. As you go on to watch them reach the age of 18. You get a chance to see the crimes they are incarcerated for at this present time. Earlier in the film you’ll witness most of these kids literally beg for some type of help. But you will also witness those that have given up and accepted this way of life. This is a very powerful Urban documentary and I just need some advice as to how I can let the world see it. P.S I am currently working on part 2 as it is an ongoing situation.

Hi Mr. Black,
I’m directing a documentary about a similar subject, and maybe we can work together. That is, if some of these non-violent crimes have to do with drugs, and if it’s near Chicago. Please let me know, as this sounds promising. thebenj22 @ gmail.com

Hello!!!
If there’s someone out there who’s passionate about art, music, education, MARIACHI MUSIC, and a true multicultural union, please get in touch with us.
We are finishing the postproduction stage of a 1′45″ documentary on the wonderful journey that several Anglo intellectuals have undergone to make mariachi music available in middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities throughout the US. These individuals have accomplished in the US what their counterparts have not been able to accomplish in Mexico-known as the birthplace for mariachi music.
The documentary is both in Spanish and English, and it features a lot more aspects of the mariachi explosion not only in the US, but in other countries, in other continents.
We need guidance for the last details like distribution and others.
If you are a believer in positive aspects of life and a true multicultural integration, and have the expertise to guide us on this last stage, please let us know.
We can be reached at lescobosa@aol.com.

I am an independent producer and documentary film maker. I am going to begin filming this coming January in a remote jungle in Peru. Peruvian Shamans have invited me into their colony and would like their ceremonies filmed. The documentary would follow a group of people from around the globe that felt drawn to these Shamans and their ancient ceremonies and the plant they are based around. This will be the first time that these indigenous people or their ceremonies will ever be recorded on film.Their village is deep in the jungle and requires a two day boat ride from Lima to even reach them. I am looking for the funding to continue this project. Their message must get out into the world.
